Black Feather Boats is currently building a ChiKat 30 walkaround for the Alaska Saltwater Lodge in Seward. This boat will be running between Seward and the Kenai Fjords through some pretty nasty water. Lodge owner Jim Barkely chose the ChilKat 30 because of its abilty to handle the rough water and get back and forth in good time. Pictures coming soon.
The ChilKat 30 Trunk Cabin is the newest edition to the Black Feather Boats Family. This vessel will help complete the ChilKat 30 model line giving our customer the option of a boat capable of multiple day cruising. This ChilKat 30 cruiser will be well outfitted with Diamond Sea Glaze windows, African Mahogany trim and sleeping accommodation's that are big enough to sleep even the tallest people.
Like all ChilKat 30s this boat will cruise at speeds that mono hulls can't touch and in weather that leaves the others on the dock. We kept the spacious walk around so that you still have room to fight the big one or launch kayaks. This is the perfect platform for diving, fishing, camping, and just plain having fun. Our design team has spent the better part of three months working closely with the U.S. Coast guard to design an inspected vessel for our customers who need a boat that can handle more passengers.
